Results from Trans-Tasman Clash and Wellington Regional Youth Handball Cup |
|
In a busy week of Handball a new Trans-Tasman rivalry emerged. The NZHF and AHF Youth teams played each other twice, winning one game each. However the ozzies won the first game by 3 points, whereas the kiwis won the second game by only two points, after the match went into overtime. Subsequently the winner of the Trans-Tasman Clash are the Australians.
All the weeks' matches were very high quality Handball with some surprisingly close results, ensuring that positive rivalry between the two nations will be forever present.
The NZHF u23 also played the Australian Youth Team, and won both games with a good margin.
